I was interested in seeing how deep I had to go to see a fair number of the galaxies within the targets of the Galaxy Groups & Cluster OP. I knew from experience with the larger Slooh scopes for asteroids and comets I could get down to magnitude 17 unless the Moon was close. Picking Abell 2162 at random I displayed the cluster's galaxies at various magnitude limits: 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and unlimited.
Magnitude 14 -- only one galaxy shown
I might expect viewing at the local dark site more than an hour away with my 12" dob.
Magnitude 15 -- only two galaxies
Physics says this is too dim for my dob
Magnitude 16
What's possible between first and third quarter with Slooh if the Moon is close to the target
Magnitude 17
Magnitude limit shown in the Program's book
Slooh image Zoomed in so the area below the "triangle" can be seen.
This is about as deep as my images go.

<--- Fairly similar view --->
It looks like I should be able to duplicate what I see in the AL's Program book.
Full sized Slooh image
SkySafari screen shot of DDS of zoomed area for comparison.
Magnitude 18
SkySafari's magnitude limit.
