I managed to resist the pull of Astronomical League observing programs for years. Then I went on a September fall color trip to Colorado and Utah in 2010. The truly dark skies drew me in, and I started visually observing the Messier Observing Program.
Since then, I've officially become hooked on the observing opportunities the AL's Observing Programs offer. I'm now over one hundred AL certificates for observing everything from the Sun to the farthest reaches of the Universe. Along the way, I've written and coordinate two observing programs, coordinate a third, and had a hand in developing/writing two others.
I started keeping my Astronomical League observing logs online with Google Sites in 2011.

EEOP--ALCON 2015
An early attempt for an EAA program.
It wasn't rejected, but not approved either but did lead to me working on....
Imaging Program Objects for the Astronomical League---ALCON 2016 The AL approved an Imaging Program in 2012 but there were no targets. I was asked to submit a comprehensive list of targets and activities--the council didn't like it either and I'd agree...too complicated.. The basics of the program eventually became the Foundations of Imaging Program in 2020 and were approved.
Advanced Double Stars (measure PA and separation)--2019 (The Multiple Star Program was chosen instead).

I'm a big SkySafari fan. Here are some skylists I've make or collected for Astronomical League Observing Programs.
The SkyLists will work in SkySafari 6 too.
