This lesson is MANDATORY and is worth a major grade. A resume is an important document to have if you plan on working at least part-time and/or if you want someone to write a letter of recommendation for you. This page contains all of the information you need to create your first resume.

Write a one-sentence objective that conveys a short-term goal for your career and personal growth.
Apply appropriate document formatting that conveys consistency, professionalism and clarity.
Instructions:
Create a new Google Doc inside your English 4 folder in your Google Drive Writing Portfolio. Title this document resume.

Review the Resume Checklist and example resumes.
Watch the tutorial video or follow along with Ms. Ntoso’s demonstration in class to create your resume.
Turn in your completed resume on Google Classroom.

When you are applying for a job, a cover letter is sometimes required. A cover letter highlights your interest in the opportunity and any relevant qualifications and experience you have.

Will you be attending college? What do you need to do to prepare for senior year? Do you plan to apply for any jobs or internships?)
