Write an outline for a TED Talk proposal that states the key points and lists supporting details that will be used to explain each key point.
Write a 300-500 word proposal for a talk presenting an original idea.
Write a proposal that includes a:

clear strategic structure
relevant information and examples.
Write a four paragraph proposal using appropriate capitalization, punctuation, grammar and spelling.
Revise and edit your proposal for your TED talk:
clarify vague or confusing language
correct errors in capitalization, punctuation, spelling and grammar.
Submit your TED talk proposal for our NHS TED Event.

Type today's date: 11/1/2021
Write about a topic or idea that you find fascinating. If you could discuss any idea with people all around the world, what would you talk about? Why? What are some of the questions you would want to discuss? (Write at least 3 questions.) What details would you want to learn more about?
Feel free to write about whatever you want, but try to be as detailed as possible. Use any writing style you choose, and be as creative as you can!

TED Talk Analysis:
Choose one of these TED Talks to watch.
Answer the following questions in your notebook or in a Google Doc:
In one sentence, summarize the speaker’s main idea.
Introduction: How did the speaker begin? How did he/she choose to engage the audience’s attention? (This is called the “hook” or “lead”)
Organization: How did the speaker structure the information in his or her presentation? What example or detail was presented first? Second? Third? … Last?
Conclusion: How did the speaker end his/her talk? What did you notice about the conclusion?
Evaluation: On a scale of 1-5, how would you rate this talk? Why? What did you like about it?
What do you want to try doing as you begin to plan your own TED talk?
Discuss your analysis with your small group.

TED Talk Proposal: NOTE: This assignment is worth a MAJOR GRADE and is due no later than THURSDAY NOVEMBER 18.
Create a new Google Doc inside your English 4 folder in your Google Drive Writing Portfolio.
Title this document TED Talk Proposal and type today's date at the top of the page.
Write a 300-500 word description/overview of what your TED talk would be about. In your proposal, be sure to include:
Hook - Start by making your audience care, using a relatable example or an intriguing idea.
Your central question, thesis, or main idea - Explain your idea clearly and with conviction.
Describe your evidence, examples or information and how and why your idea could be implemented.
End by addressing how your idea could affect your audience if they were to accept it.
Give your TED Talk a title and include the appropriate header information at the top of your paper.
Turn in your completed assignment.
