Enduring Understandings:
The Agricultural Revolution, beginning approximately 10,000 years ago, marked a transition from a nomadic hunter-gatherer lifestyle to a more settled agricultural lifestyle.
The shift to agriculture led to community-oriented ways of living, which in turn led to the development of social practices and culture.
Social practices and culture differed by region, and were influenced largely by geography and climate, which dictated the kinds of plants that could grow and the animals that could survive.
Research arises out of curiosity and questions.
