Peyrit (The Nahum)

For well over a hundred years Peyrit (pron: Pay-reet) has been a fundamental part of all Nahhum. The word Peyrit is derived from their word for 'Mother' and is the name used when describing a Nahhum as an intelligent entity. All Nahhum have an intelligent core and are inter-connected on an exclusive global network.

Peyrit's duties are: -

    • To look after the security and safety of the Nahhum

    • To look after the health and welfare of the residents (via their katim)

    • To provide communications between Nahhum and Nahhumar and people (via their katim)

    • To assist the head of the household in executing their duties

    • To manage the building's resources (e.g. water, energy usage)

    • To provide audit information for suppliers

    • To manage the accounts, pay suppliers and provide financial reports

    • To provide entertainment (usually via katim)

    • To provide education (via katim and the communications feeds to the professional institutes)

    • Sometimes to undertake match-making if a person wishes to move on.

    • And often to process the food for the residents for their best health.
