Leisure [mofudyus]

Leisure activities are very similar to those here on Earth.

TV and Film [dejit~, romsik, duvdipajyeshik]

Normally handled by their 'katim', pre-recorded entertainment is available on demand to suit the tastes of the individual. Usually this service is provided via an intermediary by subscription or individual payment funded by the 'nahum'. There are often TV screens available over the beds and in the winter rooms for 'social watching'.

A lot of material is projected as 3D and there are immersive educational and entertainment services provided which enable the subscriber to physically become part of the story line - rather like a totally immersive video game.

Note: We know that one well known 3D fantasy providing 'nahumar' has a team here on Earth building scenarios and programming story lines. We believe this is to be marketed back on their planet as both an entertainment, information/education and training environment. However this is a big project as the architecture, linguistics and cultural differences are quite marked.

Sports [n~vidyik]

Sports are many and varied and played at various levels from complete amateur to highly professional. Professional teams are managed by 'nahum' or by 'nahumar' and some have world-wide appeal. The sports themselves are very similar to those here with equivalents for soccer, rugby, tennis, baseball, horse racing, motor racing, cycle racing, yacht racing, etc. In addition there are some technology based sports based on 'okumim' and 'relkim' but these are very expensive and only a few wealthy 'nahumar' take part.

Popular sports: (rayfem yuton bimetmap tehhep naftehhep dagfu jadetyu sedayit jhen rochjevyep)

Games [mapik]

Most games have now become part of the 'katim' and can be on-line. These are just as varied as they here on E-One but most are immersive (i.e. the visual and audio parts of the brain are fed directly by katim). See under TV and Film.

Recreation [esazesh]

Apart from sports and games people can socialize within the 'nahum' and often 'pop-over' to the most social 'nahum' in their 'nahumar'. Some 'nahumar' will have a central 'bar' where people can meet and socialize and often quite a few can visit 'virtually' using the cameras and projectors or even piggy back off members' 'katim' in the room. Telepresence, or the equivalent of Skyping.

For special, and maybe intimate, evenings out some 'nahum' specialise in different types of food and atmosphere and they usually have spare bedrooms available. These 'social nahum' often permit children and can look after them while the adults enjoy a change of scenery. Quite often these private getaways are paid for by the 'nahum' and can be restricted to 'primary-earners' (senior adults) [nemekdonyik] as a reward or inducement.

Theater [yuayd

Theater used to be a mix of: -

Residential nahum where the members would also lay on a story for the guests

(in higher populated areas) a few theaters of similar format to those on Earth

Travelling theaters that have morphed into travelling circuses / entertainment centers

Holidays [rudoik]

Holidays are usually taken in the winter. Sometimes they are taken in small groups, sometimes an entire 'nahum' will disappear to a different location. As here, the coast is the most popular destination. Is quite common for 'nahumar' to team up in small group of say, four or six, other 'nahumar' with half being in northern hemisphere and the other half in the southern. The members would then travel to each others in turn during each winter break. This neat arrangement can reduce costs and forge friendships. More complex arrangements involving rotating 'nahumar' are not uncommon and some 'nahumar' organize these arrangements (for a fee, naturally).
