This page gives you the rubric and objectives for the scholarship portfolios. You will also be provided links for the various handouts.

SENIOR PORTFOLIO GRADE SHEET

1. Resume (5pts)

2. Cover Letter (sometimes called a letter of application) DO NOT CONFUSE WITH APPLICATION BELOW (5 pts)

3. Mock Interviews (10 pts)

(dressed professionally for Interview—NO jeans, shorts, or t-shirts—boys in nice shirts/ties, girls no shoulders or short skirts)

Must call and schedule an interview NO LATER than Mon, Aug 28 with interviews completed by Fri, Sep 1.

4. Thank you follow-up for interview (5 points)

5. Three Letter of Recommendation (5 pts ea for a total of 15)

(Taken care of on your own time. Only one allowed from a teacher or member of the staff; One from employer;

one personal NONE from family members or friends.)

6.One Application 5 pts)

(College or Scholarship --- filled out online or done in black ink) Done on your own time. If you do one online print it for your portfolio. A college application only requires the "Thank you for Applying" page.

7. Transcript (5 pts ea)

8. Compiled in some type of folder, NOT pockets. (5 pt ea)

(Need not be elaborate, but neat and impressive; professional: NO Binders)

9. Criteria Statement Essay (15 pts)

OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion, students will have created a complete portfolio representing their skills, experience, and educational background for the purpose of gaining scholarships, internships, or employment.

*demonstrate time management skills by meeting various deadlines, as well as scheduling a mock interview and arriving on time, professionally dressed and professional in demeanor.
