Shaivism originated in India, Iran, and Iraq between 656 and 661 CE. Shaivism comprises 26.6% of the Hindus or 3.7% of the world population and is a branch of Hinduism that teaches that believing in the supreme Hindu God, Shiva's power and divine grace, is the path to liberation from suffering.
The people of Shaivism believe that the LGBTQ should not be ostracized but instead accepted as fellow travelers on the path to Moksha.
