Hinduism originated from the Indus River Valley, which runs through northwest India into Pakistan between 2300 B.C. and 1500 B.C. There are about 1.2 billion Hindus worldwide making up 15% of the global population.
Hindus read the holy book of Veda or Vedas, which teaches us to view the universe as God's and believe everything is God. They believe that each person is intrinsically divine and that the purpose of life is to seek and realize the divinity within each of us. The Hindu belief is non-exclusive and accepts all other faiths and religious paths.
