A little bit about me......

As I mentioned earlier, my name is Madalyn Equi and I am currently a Math Intervention Specialist for grades 4-6 at Mt. Airy Elementary School. I am from outside Philadelphia, so that means that I'm a huge Flyers fan.  I am so thrilled to be a teacher, as I have always wanted to impact students.  I have always believed that each student is a unique individual that deserves the utmost respect and care.  I am so happy that I spent my first year focusing on my teaching so that I could be the best teacher for my students.

Prior to my first year of teaching, I was a Pre-K-4/Special (Pre-K-8) Education major at Grove City College. When I was in college, I was the president of the Grove City College Equestrian Club, which allows students of the college to have access to horseback lessons and equine education.  I was also a sister of the Sigma Delta Phi (D'Phi) sorority since 2021.  My favorite part of being in a sorority was fundraising for worthy causes because it allows the sorority to contribute back to the community that gives us so much.  I was also a member of Lambda Epsilon Delta, which is an academic honors fraternity at Grove City College.  Being in this organization gave me the opportunity to give back to the community and attend professional development events.
