As I mentioned earlier, my name is Madalyn Skidmore and I am currently an Intervention Specialist for grades K-4 at Wyoming City Schools. I am from outside Philadelphia, so that means that I'm a huge Flyers fan. As an educator, I developed a passion for instructional design, curriculum development, and adult learning theory. Completing my Master's program made me realize that this interest was better fulfilled in a corporate setting. I am excited to transition to a field aligned with both my passions and skillset!
Prior to my first year of teaching, I was a Pre-K-4/Special (Pre-K-8) Education major at Grove City College. When I was in college, I was the president of the Grove City College Equestrian Club, which allows students of the college to have access to horseback lessons and equine education. I was also a sister of the Sigma Delta Phi (D'Phi) sorority since 2021. My favorite part of being in a sorority was fundraising for worthy causes because it allows the sorority to contribute back to the community. I was also a member of Lambda Epsilon Delta, which is an academic honors fraternity at Grove City College. Being in this organization gave me the opportunity to collaborate with community leaders and attend professional development events.
