Parent-Teacher Communication

Parent-Teacher communication is so important to ensure the success of my students.  I like to use many different forms of communication to make sure that important information is relayed effectively.  At the beginning of the year I send out an email introducing myself.  In that email I include a Google Form which asks the parents what their preferred forms of communication are.  This year, all of the parents chose text (via Google Voice which is allowed by my school) and paper copies.  I will communicate frequently with the parents multiple times a week via text.  Every week, I send home a weekly newsletter in a home-school communication folder.  The weekly newsletter (template can be seen below) gives the parents updates on what their student is learning as well as a weekly highlight about their scholar.
