Even though I made these pieces in a mold, thesis true inspiration is Bill Geisinger, another of my mentors. Bill has been incredibly generous in sharing his knowledge and his philosophy of excellence with me. He also taught me to not be afraid of making thick pieces, and these are solid. Originally, the plan was to just lay these out flat in a grid, but I like the depth that stacking brings. It makes them architectural, making me think of Mesa Verde, or an imaginary Moroccan village. These pieces were made of grogzilla and fired at the same time as the honey badger.
