This was my first pitcher plant. I saw a photo of it in the same issue of the Natural History magazine that the physonect siphonophore was in. I just liked the form. In glazing this, I used the baby nose squeegee for the first time, making the stripes. I was tremendously pleased when the stripes showed up on the final piece. It wasn’t until I saw the final form though, that I realized what I’d done. From the back, this piece looks like a sainted nun, complete with the halo. Then from the front, it’s very Georgia O’Keefe. And I was off and running.
