Soooo eyes are probably my favorite thing to draw, and most tuts are too fast for me (and other people I know)Β so I created one for you!

Step 1: I recommend using a reference, it will make it easier. We start with some sort of lemon shape, idk how to describe it exactly. Make sure you draw the sketch in HB!
Step 2:
Draw a circle in the middle of the eye. Sorry if the picture is too blurry, it was pretty hard to film.
Step 3:
Mark the eye lid, and add the pupil+ the highlight.
Step 4:
Start shading the eye. The most dark places are on the top and the sides. There is a little shadow coming out of the pupil.
Step 5:
Some detailsβ¦
Step 6;
The white part is pretty simple. The light comes from the center and a little bit from the bottom. Make sure there is a clear contrast between the top and center.
Step 7:
Do the same on the other side, and then you can start with the eye lid (this is probably my fav part). The darkest place in it is the top line ( depends on the light source, but in most cases this is the situation).
Step 8:
I made another layer with 4B and 7B, going over the darkest places. Do as many layers, every time a bit darker, and that will make your drawing feel more smooth and realistic.
Step 9:
The bottom eye lid is a little more complicated, but similar principles. The shadow will take place at the bottom line, and on the right side.
Step 10:
Eyelashes! the final step. The most common mistake I see is drawing them stiff and direct. No, itβs more of a shape of half a circle. You can see an example at the bottom of the picture, of DO and DONT. The eyelashes on the bottom are shorter and more like a line that curves. Done! Hope this helps:)
