Well here we are in the last vestiges of autumn 2021. You could be excused for thinking that winter had already arrived based on the form of the weather over the last couple of weeks, but then you get a day like this! Absolutely prefect for a fly. You have to be flexible with this sport which has not always been the case in the past where event calendars over-rode the conditions of the day. Historically this was necessary to accommodate different clubs' events across the calendar.
Now that KMAC and Moe are not running any events (including trophy events) and Doncaster haven't for as long as I can remember, leaves CLAMF the only control line club running an event calendar here in VIC. The upside of this is that individuals and clubs are free to go with the wind and choose when and where they want to fly without the pressure of an event calendar tied to a club that they may feel obliged to support.
This is exactly what Moe did today and what KMAC have invited their members to do on Sunday when the forecast is for another stunning day. These days are outside their monthly advertised days which just reflects the point above.
So did the Moe boys have a good day?
