We were fortunate again this year to have our own club member John Boys for a couple of days to capture these shots.
In addition Frank and Margaret Battam were busy with the camera. Here is a selection from their album.
Most of us know Dave Nobes. Dave came up mid week to focus on the Vintage event. He brought with him his trusty Guided Whistle with an Atwood up front. As a backup he had an All American with a K&B. Trialling both models he settled on his trusty Guided Whistle which despite its age worn appearance showed its pedigree and tuning. The weather all week was brilliant except for Saturday when all these old stager's had to strut their stuff. Wind was gusting up to 30MPH and the CD (PK) took a vote on whether to proceed. It was not for the faint hearted and a number decided that discretion was the order of the day. I am delighted to extend our congratulations to David for a courageous win. Well done!
Of course no event can be successful without a number of worker bees behind the scenes. Give some thought to Peter Koch who was the CD for all the events, as well as judging three out of the four events over 6 days - that is a lot of time in the sun. Thanks also to the other judges Joan McIntyre, Don Keyssecker, Peter White, Reg Towell, Mark Gordon and Doug Grinham. All those score sheets need to be collated and and data entered, thank goodness for computers and the boys from the bush who helped in this capacity, Peter Byrne, Mark Gordon and Greg and of course yours truly.
Here are the results for the different stunt events.
I guess that covers it for now.
