Hi, my name is Luz Rosales. I spent much time playing video games and creating stories with my brother as a kid for playtime. In my late teens, it evolved to writing video game fanfiction and doodling. Lots of doodling. My day-to-day involves drinking lots of coffee, drawing, writing my stories to share online for free, and walking my canine partner, Ginno. I'm happy to have you here, lovely bookworms! Enjoy your stay campfire!!
Sincerely,
-Lucy
My interest in the arts began back in 2011, freshly out of high school and ready in no possible way for the journey ahead. Taking a Sabbatical Year in a modest but respected art school that provided the best summers to kiddos like me in every field, even music. I took as many classes as possible, including pottery, mosaic, oil painting, drawing, and sculpting. I certainly fell in love with every form. That same enthusiasm took me to college, obtaining an Associate Degree in Graphic Design in 2015. By then, my love for art had spread to pages after pages of comics, books, and magazines. Online classes are relevant in my life as a graduate st to basics in the future. Learning is such a magnificent experience.
There can be a spark in a series of combinations of words. I started writing at the same time I started doodling on a sketchbook. To me, there was no way I couldn’t do both in my pubescent head, filled with comic strips and romantic fanfiction fished out of the video game community. I started writing comics, which certainly is way more difficult than I could expect, picturing in frames that needed to convey an idea. Show and don’t tell. Young Machine Vol. 1 and 2 were my first stitched-up monsters, a comic about immortality and failing kingdoms without rules. These days I’m much more inclined to the idea of books, like I said, a combination of words that can piece up a story has richness to it. I started writing A Reindeer King back in 2014 (7 years ago) and so far, I feel is the most promising thing I’ve created. I’m not good at I know hard work and patience will always take you somewhere.
