Programming to Prevent Burnout
Programming to Prevent Burnout
Presented by Jenny Gallagher, Queen Anne's County Library
At one point or another, most programming staff will experience burnout. Learn tips to help manage burnout such as setting boundaries with your time and administration, creating a schedule that builds in intentional breaks, and understanding what your program limits are. This presentation will include simple programs for children ages birth-10 that require minimum planning, can be used repeatedly, and can be used to fill in programming gaps in the calendar.
At the conclusion of the program, participants will be able to:
Identify how to set appropriate programming limits for themselves and recognize when they are experiencing burnout.
Implement ideas for complete and simple programs that can be replicated easily.
Create their own simple, low prep programs to sustain a full programming calendar and provide additional learning opportunities for children and families.
