“E" is for Environment: Connecting Children with Nature

Many studies examine the importance of nature to the development and well-being of children, and yet they are spending less time outside than ever before. Discover reasons why and some of the barriers affecting accessibility as well as unique methods libraries have utilized to remedy the situation.

●      name at least two resources for assistance in programming for environmental literacy.

●      discuss one or two ways that different library systems across the country engage children with nature.
