Bilingual comment on note-taking summarizing my experience

Yo anteriormente en el cuatrimestre pasado tomé clases de traducción consecutiva de inglés a español. Era algo nuevo para mi ya que jamás había hecho algo así. Honestamente esperaba más de esa clase, pero lamentablemente la profesora no excedió mis expectativas. No nos enseñó sobre cómo tomar notas para luego hacer una interpretación. Simplemente nos daba el audio, video o documento que se tenía que preparar para la próxima clase. Al principio, no nos indicaba lo que uno hacía ni bien ni mal. Casi al final nos dijo los errores que cometimos a lo largo del cuatrimestre. Pero yo intentaba lo que podía y tenía buenas calificaciones. Al ver el video de cómo tomar notas para después hacer la interpretación, me llamó mucho la atención porque me pareció un tema muy nuevo. Es más rápido hacer los símbolos y números que escribir el texto completo. la persona en el video explica clara, precisa y concisamente. El video me pareció muy útil para una principiante como yo. No es necesario memorizar el contenido si uno sabe cómo tomar notas claramente. Primero mejora las habilidades para escuchar , trata de recordar la mayor cantidad de información posible, estimula y eleva la precisión de datos. Una vez que uno practique constantemente con las técnicas, se hará mucho más fácil tomar notas. Es mucho más rápido tomar notas, si use usan símbolos. Por ejemplo para comprar sería el signo "$", para pensar sería "!", para hablar o decir "...".En conlución , es muy útil este tipo de herramienta antes que tener que memorizar el contenido.

Last term I took a consecutive translation class from English to Spanish. It was something new for me as I had never done anything like that before. I honestly expected more from that class, but unfortunately the teacher did not exceed my expectations. She did not teach us how to take notes and then make an interpretation. She simply gave us the audio, video or document to prepare for the next class. In the beginning, she did not tell us what one was doing right or wrong. Near the end, she told us the mistakes we made throughout the term. But I tried my best and had good grades. When I watched the video on how to take notes and then do the interpretation, it really caught my attention because it seemed like a very new topic. It is faster to do the symbols and numbers than to write the whole text. The person in the video explains clearly, precisely and concisely. I found the video very useful for a beginner like me. It is not necessary to memorize the content if one knows how to take notes clearly. First improve listening skills, try to remember as much information as possible, it stimulates and enhances data accuracy. Once one practices constantly with the techniques, it will become much easier to take notes. It is much faster to take notes if you use symbols. For example to buy would be the "$" sign, to think would be "!", to speak or say "....". In conclusion, this type of tool is very useful rather than having to memorize the content.
