There are A LOT of new features in Zenoti and we are getting A LOT of questions about them. We're excited you're excited!
The intention with this transition was to start at a very one-to-one, like-to-like spot so as not to overwhelm our teams. If you'd like to see a list of the items we have noted to begin exploring once we're in a stable, comfortable spot, scroll down!

Q: Confirmation emails/timing displays information for portions of services.
At present, there is no way to change this. It is displaying how long a segment of the service is so it would hsow that a one step color may be from 1-1:30 but would also show that a finish woul dbe from 2:15-2:45. There is no way to change this at present as the information is correct.
Q: Can the default performance number be the daily number vs the month to date?
There are NO settings we can change in the MyZen app. We can make suggestions to Zenoti but we are unable to make any adjustments in any capacity to the app. It is exactly as it is and functions exactly as Zenot currently intends for it to function.
Q: I'm not seeing my formulas/notes...
Be sure you are scrolling all the way to the very bottom. If you are finding that notes you're sure you saved are not showing up, please provide details in the Feedback/Questions form.
Q: Can I get a more specific date for online color booking?
We truly don't have a firm date for this launch. We will be working on launching add-ons first. In order to launch online color booking, we'll want colorists to feel confident in their set timing, we'll want to ensure we have a process in place to review these online color bookings to check for accuracy, etc. We have not yet begun testing online color booking as we are still in phase one of our Zenoti launch. These processes ARE inherently slow to work through. While it may seem simple and straightforward, they are technically complex and are fantastically detailed due to the dozens and dozens of individual requests that artists have.
Q: I don't like the way the Zenoti schedule prints out. What can be done?
At present, there are no additional configurations we can set within Zenoti for printing schedules. You can send in specific feedback on what you would love and I am happy to pass on to Zenoti to see if they would consider changing formatting.
Q: Is there a report that I can see that shows my gratuity totals?
This can be found in your MyZen app. Upon opening the app, there is a green box that says "Tip." Click on the box. In the top left of the Tips Earnings page, click on where it says "Today". Choose "Custom Range" and then select your date range. Click "Save" in the top right. You will now see your tip total as well as a daily breakdown with the gratuity attributed to the client who gave you the gratuity.
Q: I can only look forward so many weeks/months in the MyZen app.
We flagged this with Zenoti in mid-November. It seems to only go 14 weeks. A follow up will be noted to everyone when we have more information.
Q: When I look at my client's past appointments, a lot of them say "deleted". Why is this?
When looking at past appointments, this will show you all TYPES of past appointments. These include: deleted, canceled, no-show, refund, void, closed (completed), and open (if it was left open on the appointment books for some reason.
Q: How can I see my client's history?
Bearing in mind that SalonBiz history is NOT finished being loaded in...
From desktop - enter client's file and click "appointment" tab.
From MyZen - Click on appt > click on name at top > click "Appointment" tab > you'll see Upcoming and Past appts
Q: How can we see RPST?
A: This will NOT be available in the MyZen app. This was a SalonBiz specific metric so it will be available on your scoreboard. We will inquire with Zenoti if they would build this metric out and add to the app but for the foreseeable future, the scoreboard will be your resource.
Q: What service dollars am I seeing in the MyZen app?
A: The service dollars on your app are total service dollars minus ALL discounts. This is the same number we saw in the SalonBiz Stylist App. As a reminder: this is NOT the number we use when determining price increase eligibility, high performer’s bonus, or pay.
Q: How can we see other artists on the MyZen app?
A: In order to see other artists, you will need to use the Zenoti Mobile app.
Q: Can we do/see X in the MyZen app?
A: There are no further customizations we can make in the MyZen app. At this moment, it is as it is. Anything else would be a feature request to Zenoti. You can absolutely send those in but know that they may never happen or it may be a long time before we see it.
Q: My formula notes aren’t in the right order & they don’t have dates.
A: This is true. The export from SalonBiz did not include any dates in it so there were no dates to attribute when importing into Zenoti. We are retaining access to SalonBiz for a while so that dates can be validated in their client files and added to the note as needed.
Q: When will be able to add/edit/change appointments in the MyZen app?
A: This will go live on Friday November 22nd.
Q: When will online color booking go live?
A: This will not occur until the new year. We plan to layer in add-on services in the next couple of months and then add color booking on top of that.
