Jury Duty Leave
Juut will provide a temporary leave of absence to employees called for jury duty. If you are called for jury duty, you should immediately inform your manager so that schedules can be adjusted. Juut requires proof of jury duty prior to adjusting schedules or processing payment for leave. You will also need to make a Jury Duty request in ADP that your manager will approve. Under ADP > My Time Off > Request Time Off > Select Jury Duty.
Upon presentation of satisfactory jury duty pay verification, the employee will be paid 1 week of jury duty or as otherwise required by law. Jury Duty pay will be based on a calculation of the employee’s base pay rate (artists/therapists will be paid at their PTO rate) times the number of hours the employee would otherwise have worked on the days of absence, less any amounts the employee receives from the court system.
If employees are required to serve jury duty beyond the period of paid jury duty leave, they may use any available PTO time or may request an unpaid jury duty leave of absence. PTO will continue to accrue during the first 2 weeks of unpaid jury duty leave, after which they will be suspended.
Employees are still expected to report to work when the court schedule permits.
