Open enrollment dates are announced in the fall of each year.
Enrollment or changes are effective January 1st.
MEDICAL, DENTAL & VISION COVERAGE
All active employees working 30+ hours per week are eligible for medical, dental and vision benefits. You are eligible for benefits on the 1st day of the month following 60 days of active employment.
Rehires are eligible for medical insurance if they return within 6 months, and their effective date is 1st of the month following hire date.
Eligible dependents may also elect to participate in medical, dental and vision coverage. Eligible dependents for our group medical, dental and vision plan offerings are defined as your spouse (same sex and opposite sex) and dependent children up to age 26 regardless of student or marital status. Coverage is available to legal spouses but not domestic partners.
The annual open enrollment is the only time you can change benefit plans or add/drop dependents during a plan year, unless you have a qualifying event. Such changes include birth, death, marriage, divorce, adoption, loss of benefits through another means, and change in status resulting from ineligibility of a dependent. All changes must be made within 60 days of the qualifying event.
