2 Corinthians 5:6-7
Live By Faith and Not By Sight
6 Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. 7 For we live by faith, not by sight.
John 20:24-29
Blessed Are Those Who Believe and Have Not Seen Jesus
24 Now Thomas (also known as Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”
But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”
26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”
28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
I believe we all want to see God and hear Him...But what if that is not what God wants?...What if being absent and being hidden are a part of Being Divine, in the sense that God wants us to communicate to Him through prayer and have a Spiritual relationship with Him...We think as man that supposedly seeing is believing...The intellect and us needing to see Him to believe may not be what God wants...He wants us to live and walk by faith and not by sight and our seeing...
Thomas got to see Jesus both before His death, and after His death on the cross...Yet, Thomas did not believe until He could touch Jesus in the wounds He received on the cross...Jesus told Thomas because He got to see Him after His death, he believed, but blessed are those who have not seen Him, and yet have believed...
