John 19:25-27
Mother Mary
25 Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 26 When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, "Dear woman, here is your son," 27 and to the disciple, "Here is your mother." From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.
The pain of a mother watching her Child being crucified after being flogged and tortured...How do you think Mother Mary felt watching Jesus hanging from the cross?...Surely a tragedies of tragedies for her...Yet, she knew Son and He had this something about Him...She knew in her heart He is different...I wonder if He prepared her the best He could for this moment?...I wonder when He spoke to her if she felt some comfort?...
