Jesus Has Authority
11 Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.”

Meek and Lowly of Heart
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Matthew 14:13-21
13 When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns. 14 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.
15 As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.”
16 Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”
17 “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.
18 “Bring them here to me,” he said. 19 And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. 20 They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. 21 The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.

Thomas Calls Jesus My LORD and My God
28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
Many Chief Executive Officers of today, have great power within their company...This is especially true of the largest and Fortune Five Hundred companies...These CEO's have a lot of power inside their company, and sometimes outside it...And in these large companies there are several great leaders...Most organized groups and large companies, have board of directors that meet and they exchange advice and ideas to make their group, or association, or company better...These boards give their organization a mission statement that describes the values, aims, and direction of their organization...These boards also give the CEO's their power...And in these associations many of our great leaders of today (and in these associations) seek out others for advice and to help them lead a group, an association, or a company...All this is for better leadership and to better the organization...
Jesus is the most unique and incomparable Man ever to walk the earth...He was a Man lowly of heart and meek...We know this is true, because He said it and He cannot lie...He has this great humbleness...He had a divine authority about Him that no one has ever had before or since He was on earth...And He loves His fellow man...Yet, He was a solitary Person, closer to His Father than any other one...Jesus, the Greatest Teacher and Leader ever, really never sought out earthly advice from men or women...
As a Leader, He had many followers and drew large crowds...He once fed five thousand people...Yet, one interesting thing about Him is that although He had large crowds and congregations following Him, Jesus never sought out approval of others or tried to gain acceptance with a person or a group...I am not sure if He ever sought out advice from any man...He was unique that He has a Father who knows everything...So at anytime, if and when He needs advice -He can go to His Father...His Father has given Him the power He has...If we use the analogy of Jesus as a CEO, the board of directors is God and Jesus, and God is the Chairman of the Board...
But not only does God give Jesus His power, Jesus told the High Priest that even his power was given to him by God...He put it this way: “You would have no power over Me if it were not given to you from above.”...And He had one of the most interesting leadership styles ever He to lead people...He never LORDed over others, even though He is our LORD and our God...You can help others and love others and work with others and be a Great Leader...Jesus was always on message and focused...And His mission statement is all about His Father in heaven...
