Founders Day Service
Sunday, April 28, 4:00 pm
This service commemorates the beginning of Augustana Church, Augustana Synod, and Augustana College and Theological Seminary. The guest speaker will be Dr. James Nieman, President of the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. The Augustana Lutheran Church choir of Andover will sing.
Andover Colonial Days Festival
Saturday, June 1 - Antique lawn and farm tractor show, Velie vehicle display, arts and crafts, food, fishing derby for kids, bagpipe band, talent show, pork chop supper, and concert by the Orion Community Band - Andover Lake Park and nearby sites including the Jenny Lind Chapel.
Sunday, June 2 - Antique lawn and farm tractor show, arts & crafts, breakfast, outdoor community worship service at 9:00 am, and Salute to Veterans at 10:30 am - Andover Lake Park and nearby sites including the Jenny Lind Chapel.

Swedish Högmässa Service
Sunday, September 29, 4:00 pm
At this service the sermon in English will be given by Pastor Gregory Mayer, First Lutheran, Rock Island. The liturgy, spoken and sung in Swedish, will be led by Bertil Sandin, Salem Lutheran, Moline. The organist will be Deanna Swanson, Augustana Lutheran, Andover. Special music will be provided by Jan and Greg Golz, First Congregational, Moline. Light refreshments will be served following the service.
Andover Christmas Walk
Saturday, December 7, 4:30-8:00 pm
The walk is at several locations including the Jenny Lind Chapel. The lighting of the Christmas tree at 4:30 pm at the beautifully decorated Andover Lake Park starts the evening festivities. A soup supper, judging and silent auction of mini Christmas trees/wreathes/swags, and a Christmas market will be held at the American Legion Building. Harper's Delight (6 harp players) will play Christmas music from 6 - 8 pm at the candlelit Chapel. Here are some photos.
Joy of Christmas with Augustana College
Wednesday, December 11, 7:30 pm
This event starts at Augustana Lutheran Church in Andover and ends at the candle-lit Jenny Lind Chapel. Students and faculty from Augustana College join the community for this beautiful service of worship and music.
Featured performers are the vocal ensemble Kammarkör, the Augustana Horn Ensemble, the Steeple Ringers, and a trombone quartet. There will be readings of the Christmas story in Spanish, Swedish and English, a special homily by Mark Anderson, Associate Dean of students at Augustana, a candlelight walk to the historic Jenny Lind Chapel for Holy Communion and Christmas carols, and homemade Christmas cookies and hot chocolate. All are welcome!
