BTEC Travel and Tourism Term 1.1

BTEC Travel and Tourism Term 1.1 Challenge

To have the opportunity to win a golden ticket, you need to complete the 'travel challenge.' This challenge will run over term 1.1 and 1.2.

Objective: The objective of this individual challenge is for you to create a travel destination brochure for a chosen destination of your choice, showcasing your knowledge of travel and tourism concepts.

Instructions:

a) Cover page with an eye-catching title and an enticing image related to the destination.

b) Introduction page providing a brief overview of the location. Add a map!

c) At least three pages highlighting the main attractions, such as landmarks, natural wonders, historical sites, etc. Include vivid descriptions and captivating images.

You will find resources here that will support your learning in these subject areas.

BTEC Travel and Tourism Term 1.2 Challenge

To have the opportunity to win a golden ticket, you need to complete the tasks for term 1.2 



Continue with the travel challenge you started in term 1.2.


You need to add the following criteria to your travel destination brochure.

a) One page dedicated to local cuisine, mentioning popular dishes or food specialties.

b) Information about local customs, traditions, or cultural events. 

c) Practical details like accommodation options, transportation, and any additional tips for travelers.

d) Include a reference list with the websites, books, YouTube videos etc. you have used to create your travel destination brochure. 

e) Once your holiday brochure is completed show this to a friend or family member, ask them for feedback. Make sure you record what they say either written down or recorded verbally.

Finally... Submit your 'travel challenge' to your teacher to judge!
