This one my favorite freelancing website. First of all it is quite easy and fast to set up your profile and moreover you don't need to wait for approval. You get 20 bids free each and every month. Therefore this is a go to place if you are beginner and simply don't have money to buy bids.
Freelancer is the most popular freelancing website out there and probably has more traffic than Truelancer. However, unlike Truelancer it does not offer free monthly bids, so you have to pay for them. It is also easy to set up and navigate. You constantly receive updates whenever a job is posted. You also have some useful filters which can help in getting more focused results.
Workana is one of the least popular freelancing websites out there, despite it being almost 10 years old. Unlike the first two websites, it is not easy to start work in Workana as you will need to go through a regorous application process and approval. I think the overall goal of this process is to get only serious candidates to register. Just like the first two websites you will have to bid for projects, therefore you will need to money upfront in order to purchase some bids.
This is one of the most blogged and vlogged website. Fiverr is also very different in the sense that you don't bid on projects but rather you sell your services more like a shop. It is also quite easy to set up, and you don't need to wait for approval. Many freelancers prefer Fiverr to other freelancing platforms due to its flexibility.
Just like Freelancer and Fiverr, this platform is also very popular among content creators. In order to start working, you will need to apply and get approved first just like in Workana. You have to bid for jobs with other candidates. Just to mention, the platform also include an option to create and sell services like in Fiverr. The same goes for the other three websites.
