Objective: Getting body in the right position for crossing over.

Note: These drills can be used for crossing over in both directions
Drill 1 (1 min)
Start in a circle standing in derby position - switching feet, one in front of the other.
Drill 2 (2 mins)
Jump on track and roll, practice switching feet while rolling
Most of the weight on back leg
Drill 3 (2 mins)
Same again but with weight on back leg practice doing an s-shape with front leg
Drill 4 (2 mins)
S-shape with both feet
Drill 5 (2 mins)
- Start with sticky skating and try to move crossover foot in front of underpush leg.
- Underpush more important than the lifting over.
- Nose, knees, toes all in alignment.
