Objective: Covering the track laterally to catch a jammer in a forward facing position
Suitable for: L2/3
This move isn't as good as just staying facing forward and getting over to the side. It also will help you practice not staying sideways while trying to move to a line and cover it.
This is a progression of the drill above. It isn't a movement that should be your go to method of covering a line, but it is another too. It also works on your edge work and leg independence, both of which are highly transferable to other skills.
In groups of six, two jammers, one blocker and a tripod. One jammer just blocks against the tripod. The other blocker uses the tripod to clog the space and catch the jammer. Rotate through each position, 1 min each.
Progression: Same as above but with groups of seven with a two wall at the front.
