14. Winston Churchill Classic

Please join us in congratulating members of the Hawk Speech & Debate team who traveled to the Churchill Tournament of Champions Qualifier this weekend. As a result of their success, three members of the Hendrickson team earned bids to the National Tournament of Champions. Jordan Rojas and Carlos Gregory earned a bid in Public Forum debate, and Marcus Ayala earned a bid to the Extemp Tournament of Champions. Jordan and Zach Falkenbury are already qualified to attend the Extemp Tournament of Champions.

Additionally, Jordan Rojas was awarded the prestigious Lanny Naeglin award for Student Excellence. This award is given to the student who has demonstrated not only competitive success, but also has made a significant impact on both their team and the speech & debate community at large. Jordan is a Student Ambassador for the National Speech & Debate Association, as well as a strong leader on our team. If you know Jordan, please congratulate him on this accolade.

Jordan and Carlos were also the 1^st and 3^rd place speaker in Public Forum, respectively.
