The Hawk Speech & Debate team travelled to Harvard this holiday weekend to compete in one of the largest and most competitive speech and debate tournaments in the country.  The team made school history with several fantastic accomplishments. 

In Policy Debate, Hendrickson was the only school to advance 3 teams to the Double Octofinal Round.  The teams of Emma Ha / Cody Snow and Ayu Sofyan / Christina Bui dropped in the Double Octs round.  The team of Nico Williams / Elan Wilson advanced all the way to semifinals (a first for HHS) and thus qualified for the prestigious Tournament of Champions in Kentucky in April.  This accomplishment speaks volumes to the hard work and dedication put in by these kids and coach Samin Agha. 

Additionally, the team of Robert Boley / Carlos Gregory broke to the Triple Octofinal Round in Public Forum, with over 300 entries.  This is the first time that Hendrickson has had a PF team break at Harvard, and we were one of only 4 teams from Texas to reach this level.  Carlos also ranked 69th in overall individual speakers, out of over 650 students.
