Vada Janak, Director of Forensics
Ms. Janak is the current director of the Hendrickson Speech and Debate team and former director of the LBJ Speech and Debate team. She has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Global Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. She is originally from Corpus Christi, Texas, and moved to Austin after graduation. Janak competed in speech and debate in high school and consulted for various programs in Texas throughout college. She also teaches AP Human Geography and AP Seminar at HHS. When she’s not at school or tournaments with the team, Ms. Janak likes to travel and play with her cats, Thunder and Lizzie. Ms. Janak also loves Tex-Mex and has great opinions about good breakfast tacos.

Mike Fisher, Theater Director
Mr. Fisher has been at Hendrickson for 20 years. Mike has had state and national success in a variety of interpretation events. In addition to his work on the Speech & Debate team, Mike is also the Theater Director at Hendrickson and the Fine Arts Department Chair. Mike has also directed several UIL State qualifying One Act Plays. Mike is married and has two children.
