z15 Ronald Reagan / Colleyville

It was a busy weekend for HHS Speech & Debate.  Junior Carlos Gregory was named the Greater Texas Regional Champion of the Ronald Reagan Great Communicator Debates on Saturday.  As a result, he won a trip to California in July where he will compete at the National level alongside 15 other students from across the country.  The national champion will receive $10,000.   Junior Siegen Bretzke also competed this weekend, advancing to the quarterfinal round. 

Meanwhile, several Hawks traveled to the Colleyville Heritage tournament in Dallas.  Nico Williams and Elan Wilson advanced to the quarterfinal round and Christina Bui and Ayu Sofyan advanced to octofinals.  Hendrickson was also awarded several speaker awards – 16th Christina, 19th Ayu, 20th Nico, 23rd Elan.
