A Uyghur stage dance is characterised by its loud and cheerful music, the dancers’ vibrant manoeuvres and the colourful dresses.

Mock Wedding Ceremony 

We witnessed a mock Uyghur wedding ceremony at the Fragrance Concubine Park. Dancers in traditional costumes performed a spirited folk dance on wool carpets laid out on the stage which was festooned with the Uyghur famous Etles silk.

我们在香妃园观赏了一场模拟维吾尔婚礼仪式的演出。舞者穿着传统服装在铺设羊毛地毯的舞台上表演了一场充满活力的民间舞蹈，舞台上方装饰着维吾尔著名的艾特勒丝绸。

Opening of the City Gate

Every day, two cultural performances marked the opening of the ancient city gate. The ceremony combined Uyghur folk music, dances and a grand parade to mimic historical dignitaries in their colourful traditional dresses. 

城门开启仪式

每天都有两场文艺表演来宣布古城门的开放。表演形式融合了维吾尔民间音乐、舞蹈和盛大的游行，扮演历史名人身穿丰富多彩的传统服装。

Tradesmen of Yore

During Kashgar’s civilisation of 2,000 years, tradesmen from neighbouring countries and kingdoms gathered freely to do business and traded. Statues of life-sized traditional Uyghur tradesmen were featured in the Fragrant Concubine Park.

在喀什拥有长达两千年的文明历史中，来自邻国和王国的商人自由聚集与贸易。在香妃园中展示了真人大小的传统维吾尔商人雕像。
