After the end of each quarter, our AP Calculus AB class is tasked with designing an A3 poster on a given topic. For my Quarter One poster, my groupmate and I were tasked with designing one on the Average Rate of Change & Difference Quotient. Meanwhile, for Quarter Two, we were tasked with designing on about Optimization.
During both, we used our knowledge from class and the different topics and sub-topics along with independent research to explain each topic with as much detail and nuance as possible. We also added several examples and graphs to further help peers understand the different topics.
In retrospect, I think I could have helped add more detail and further the posters to make them more understandable. I also think the posters could have looked more appealing and professional. In terms of the ESLOs, these covered Strategic Learners as we had to reflect and recall the different topics and knowledge from class, Articulated Communicators as the group had to communicate with one another and show understanding, and Leaders of the Future as we had to each participate and set goals for the posters.
