Lord has blessed some parts of the Mid Atlantic with very nice weather in the past few days, temperatures known for mid March. Some wish not to affront the blessings and to Whom it came from, by acting as if there will be an immediate counterbalance as if to say no such weather can really happen at this time of year.

At this time, in the DC suburbs area it might have been simply too warm for an all out overturn of a huge snow storm that halts everything. At the same time though, preparations for the possibility of some snow can be standard considering patterns of precipitation.

Going from 100mph to 10 mph in less than a second is tough to do, we can try though, the result is usually a skid. The conditions that might occur tomorrow if there is any kind of snow downfall will probably be a slush situation, a morning rush hour a bit slower, snow melting as hits the ground.

Then again you never know what could be in store.

Caution priorities of focus points for dangerous road conditions, could be bridges in the morning, such as Georgetown Key Bridge area near the DC Virginia line, and other bridges with bodies of water large enough underneath them that the combination of water vapors freezing, melting, and the snow, could cause ice buildup that is hard to spot. Road dangers that are not visible to the human eye at first glance could be just as problematic as several inches of snow.

Snow is predicted from the DC suburbs on up northward, summarily the Mid Atlantic region, tomorrow the 9th of February.

Severe snow watch is paying specific attention to these cities and towns:

  • Boston
  • Philadelphia; Allentown, Harrisburg and nearby cities; Pittsburgh watch predictions say relatively about half as much snow
  • New York

Schools have been closed in anticipation of snow in these areas with major infrastructure.
