Outlook for East Coast USA can be broken down into 3 segments, based on what has really developed the past day or so in combination with weather predictions from around the web:

  1. Southern east coast, has seen some light snow, yesterday and today, such as northern Georgia; however all southeastern states region, including Georgia, Tennessee, the Carolinas, are not smothered in feet and feet of snow as some predictions might have been indicative. The warmer weather respective of closer to equator rule might come into effect, and bits of snow comparatively might show here and there on through tomorrow or even the next few days.
  2. Northern Virginia, Washington DC, Baltimore and Maryland, might receive the lower and lesser brunt of this upcoming 'predicted' snowstorm being called Stella; if it does materialize into enough of a storm to be considered a storm. Humidity has been toward the dry side the past few days, huge flakes of snow with fast accumulation that snow castles can be built with likely will not happen, however it has been cold enough the past day or so that 'regular' snow and correlating road conditions might be reality, for a little while. News reports say snow might come in larger accumulations Monday night and, or into Tuesday. Gusts of wind have been sporadic in Baltimore, but not consistent. Blizzard conditions might appear then wane. Meanwhile, numerous flights are reported to have been cancelled especially towards Boston, in anticipation of snow conditions up in that region.
  3. Northern east coast, such as Boston and Massachusetts, New York and Maine are making preparations for possible blizzard conditions and '12 to 18' inches of snow to land around tomorrow, Monday. Snow that dense might occur the result of drift in outlying rural areas, however, the general momentum for this winter season, might see about half that much. There is a chance though of a balancing out surprise of steep snow. As always what has been generally predicted from news stories around the web could come true at least in some form. Flight cancellations already alluded to.
