We visited Cobh, a lovely town by the sea in Ireland. It's famous for being the last place the Titanic stopped before its tragic journey. There's a museum all about the Titanic. Visitors can learn about the people who were on the ship and see interesting things from that time. The museum is in an old building near the harbour, and it's a great place to visit if you're interested in history.
First, we got tickets and each ticket had a different name of a real passenger on it. I was Eugene Daly, and I had to guess if Eugene survived the accident.
As we walked through several rooms, they explained the most interesting details of the ship to us.
Near the museum, there are many great spots to take fantastic photos.
The Ring of Kerry is considered one of the best routes near Cork. During the journey, there are several stops at different points in time. These stops include places like Killarney, Killorglin, Dingle Bay, Waterville, Sneem, Killarney National Park, and finally Torc Waterfall. At these stops, you can see rugged cliffs, beaches, small villages, mountain ranges, and lots of green spaces. The best part of the route, and what we enjoyed the most, were the views of the waterfall. It was wonderful.
The tour starts at 8:30 am taking the bus in Bridge St Tourist Office (next to St Patrick's Bridge) and finishes at approximately 7:30 pm
The first stop is Killarney, known as the most beautiful town in Ireland. It's the first city on the Ring of Kerry route. Situated in a valley surrounded by the highest mountain in Ireland and lakes, it's filled with charming shops, pubs, and traditional arts and crafts stores. Definitely something worth seeing.
We continued our route and passed through Killorglin and Dingle Bay. Then, we stopped in Waterville village, which overlooks Ballinskelling Bay and has its own beautiful beach. Did you know that Charlie Chaplin loved spending his holidays in Waterville? The town, located in County Kerry, pays tribute to this film star every August with the Charlie Chaplin Comedy Film Festival.
Finally, we stopped at Torc Waterfall. Torc Waterfall is a high waterfall that flows through the wooded Friers Glenn. We enjoyed a short walk along a public hiking trail. The waterfall was beautiful.
