When Elayne was at the Linscott Elementary School in Woburn MA and the teacher had them drawing with watrcolors, Elayne gringed because her watercolors ran together and formed puddles! However, in 1965 in Allentown PA on a temporary job for Management Safeguards Inc., she heard a voice that told her to go out and get some watercolors! Needless to say, Elayne couldn't stop laughing because all she could think of were the puddles made when she did watercoloring as a child. After the third request, Elayne decided to comply and the rest is detailed under the page titled "Mystical Rose." It turned out to be a significant happening on her spiritual path.
In the fall of 2019 Elayne attended a tape resist watercolor class at the Woburn Public Library where everyone was given a rectangular piece of watercolor paper and told to duct tape across it in whatever design they wanted. Elayne chose a diagonal cross. Then they were told to create designs in each of the open areas. After the painting was done, the duct tape was removed leaving a white shape around the individual paintings.
