Elayne prefers 9" x 12" canvases positioned horizontally (12" x 9") since they are larger than the 5" x 7" canvases but not so small that they can't be effectively displayed in a room and the art appreciated.
While Elayne is working on several canvases, she likes to stand them on her stereo console to see how the light plays on the artwork and to determine what she might name them.
Once the canvas is finshed and sprayed with a clear acrylic coating, Elayne will write on the bottom inside of the canvas tacked to the wood her artist's pen name, date completed, and the name of the painting in quotation marks.
Sawtooth picture hangers are placed in the center of the top inside wood for wall displays.
