Day 12 - Oasis to Paarl

Trip Summary:

Stephen bought a permit at Oasis to enter the Matjiesrivier nature reserve.  It is a worthwhile detour to look at the Bushman paintings and the fantastic sandstone rock formations.  As it was still early, the sunlight provided excellent lighting.

The Cedarberg is a wonderful place to tour and should be on everyone's bucket list.

Another set of great passes with wonderful views that we travelled today were:

1) Uitkyk / Cedarberg Pass (Gravel)

2) Nieuwoudts Pass (Gravel)

3) Piekenierskloof Pass (Tar)

We stopped at the De Tol Farm Store on the Piekenierskloof pass for breakfast.

We travelled via Wellington in the hope of going to the Bains Whisky distiliery to do a tasting.   They were unfortunately closed.

We got back to Anura by 13h00 which left the afternoon to do laundry and prepare for the trip northwards along the West coast.
