Trip Summary:
I started the day with breakfast at 07h45 and was on the road by 08h15. I needed the energy for the 115 km gravel road I was about to tackle.
The C35 gravel road to Khorixas was easy going. Once I got to the tar road (C39), I inflated the bike tyres to 2.5 and continued to Outjo.
I continued along tar road all the way via Otjiwarongo, Otavi, Grootfontein to Roy's campsite.
The roads are good and the traffic was quiet.
I stopped at Otavi for fuel and a cup of coffee at the Camel Inn restaurant.
The road from Otavi to Grootfontein reminded me of Magaliesberg, driving through the valley with mountains on both sides and farmlands in-between.

I setup camp before heading to the bar for a cold beer.
The Wi Fi hot spot is located away from the Bar and Restaurant to keep the non-social people away from the social people.
The bird-life woke me up at 05h00. I am not sure of the variety of birds, but there were many.
I eventually got up and packed and was at the restaurant at 07h15 in time for breakfast.
Accommodation: Camping
Roy's Campsite is just off the B8, 60km North of Grootfontein (200km South of Rundu).
It is rustic, rustig (restful) and laid back. We were last here in Feb 2012 and it rained like hell and Lynne & I were huddled in the kitchen.
Each camp site includes electricity, water and braai. The ablutions are clean with hot showers. The campsite is located on a cattle farm off the main road so security should not be an issue.
Dust from cars ahead - I slowed down to avoid the dust
