First-time homebuyers saw the potential in their new home and Gaspar’s Construction turned their kitchen dreams into a reality. They transformed the original 1950s kitchen, complete with Pepto Bismol-pink tile, peeling linoleum flooring and failing plywood cabinets, into a beautiful, functional space.

The original U-shaped kitchen was not wide enough for two cooks or modern appliances. The team eliminated the sink cabinet at the end and created two parallel runs of new cabinets. They solved the problem of an awkwardly placed refrigerator by recessing it into an unneeded second hallway entry. The placement created a cohesive flow through the entire cooking and eating space. To round out the design, they added a fun charismatic backsplash and installed new wood flooring to match the rest of the main floor.
