RZRKT - Dread Review

Bryan Cruz, aka RZRKT (pronounced Resurrect), has officially released his Monstercat debut! On 3/18/24, "Dread" quickly went out to streaming services all around the world! Cruz has been making electronic bass music since 2018, and stated that he had grown up listening to Monstercat, so it was a dream for him to release music on the label! Well needless to say, his dream came true in the form of "Dread"!

"Dread" was released under the Uncaged brand, which is for "energetic, explosive, and hard-hitting" music, according to the label. The song starts out with some borderline ambient synthesizers, but quickly gets more intense with drums and louder synths. Within a few seconds, the song is building up for a beat drop. Next thing you know, BOOM! The beat drops and all you can imagine is a crowd going crazy to this tune! As the song progresses, it begins to add a techno vibe to the mix. Then, everything goes silent, but that isn't the end of the song! The synths at the beginning of the song play once again, this time with more echoes, but just like the beginning, the song builds up more and more until the beat drops and the extremely loud synths play again! After that, the song calms down, and then it's over. 

I'm very new to the genre of Electronic Bass Music, so it is quite difficult for me to find the right words to describe the song! In this case, however, I would say it is a dark, intense, and highly energetic tune that can get you through a workout or a party! Overall, I would say this is a very solid Monstercat debut for RZRKT. Because of this, I give this song a rating of 4.8/5 due to the intensity and high energy of it.
