Isn't it always encouraging when you find a great album at a local store? I know it is for me! Earlier this week, I was fortunate enough to find 5 great CDs, most of which are blues albums! The best part of the visit is that it costed me $5 for 5 CDs, and you can never go wrong for a price as cheap as that! The haul included "The Collection" by Bessie Smith, a compilation album of songs recorded throughout the 20s and 30s but released in 1989, "The Blues Rolls On" by Elvin Bishop, a 2008 studio album with an all-star cast of features (such as B.B. King and James Cotton), "Big Wide Grin" by Keb' Mo, a studio album released in 2001, "Trouble Is..." by Kenny Wayne Shepherd band, released in 1997, and "Volume 27" by 97.3 KBCO Studio C, a compilation album made by a radio station in 2015!
Most of the CDs were used except for the radio station compilation album, which was still sealed after almost 10 years! However, they all seemed to be in solid condition, regardless of whether they were new or used! I'm still trying to catch up on all of the CDs, but I'm just happy to have them in my collection right now! I've got a couple more hauls to write about, so be sure to keep an eye out for those! Below are the covers for each album in case you want to buy them!- Elliott Dudoit
