Element I
The testing stage was another important part of the project. It affirms that the prototype we created works and we achieved our goal. In the majority of our tests, we were successful, but unfortunately, our LED lights and temperature sensors failed to work. Though we were unhappy with this result, it provides us with an improvement to make in the future. Regarding the rest of our tests, we were glad to see how they turned out. After much trial and error, we were able to get our capacitors to read the correct water values. For the rest of the testing, we went through similar processes. By going through this stage, we realized all of the work that goes into creating a working product and how important it is to try it over and over again until it’s right.
Problem Statement
Many people don’t get the water they should, often because they are uneducated about how much they should drink or forget to drink. According to a survey sent to students and teachers at a school in 2022, about half of the people drink less than half a gallon. Additionally, research shows that 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated, and factors such as thirst, the temperature of water, the convenience of drinking it, and other psychological, behavioral, and environmental influences impact how much water people drink.
