Element C
After getting our criteria, we clearly defined our design specifications and ranked their importance to us going forward with our design. Once we completed the parts of Elements A, B, and C we combined our information into a presentation and prepared to present to a panel of administration and staff. We received feedback from our judges to consider supplemental devices, carefully check submissions, and make sure we are adhering to our constraints. We appreciated the feedback they gave us and we will keep them in mind as we move onto the prototyping phase of the project.
Problem Statement
Many people don’t get the water they should, often because they are uneducated about how much they should drink or forget to drink. According to a survey sent to students and teachers at a school in 2022, about half of the people drink less than half a gallon. Additionally, research shows that 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated, and factors such as thirst, the temperature of water, the convenience of drinking it, and other psychological, behavioral, and environmental influences impact how much water people drink.
